Transformative Instruction Initiative
In March, as part of the Student Academic Success Initiative, the Provost initiated an RFP to invite faculty to be part of the Transformative Instruction Initiative. Twenty faculty were selected through a peer-review process and are working this summer to redesign one lesson of a course to enhance student learning outcomes. The first step in the redesign is to create a solid instructional foundation of student learning outcomes and assessment. The faculty teams will work individually and in small groups this summer to brainstorm experiential learning activities for the lesson. The faculty will meet in retreat on July 30th to share their redesigned lessons and will continue to share their experiences throughout the upcoming academic year.
