The UNT Chair Academy
The University of North Texas provides leadership opportunities for chairs to assist them in performing their complex roles and responsibilities as academic leaders
of their respective departments. Through participation in the President’s Leadership Series and annual administrator retreats, chairs are exposed to
contemporary issues and best practices while engaging in collaborative dialogue.
The Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs will expand and formalize development opportunities for chairs with the initiation of the UNT Chair Academy in
August 2009. The goal of the academy will be to provide chairs with a basic set of procedures to accelerate the development of UNT’s leadership team. The first
training cohort was held August 13-14, 2009. Click here for agenda-at-a-glance. Ongoing programs will occur throughout the year at the "Fives and Sevens" workshops.
